My criteria for actors wasn't very strenuous because I knew I would be short on time, I asked my friend Moiz, who has been an actor for me before during my test shoots, if he was available to act for me and he agreed. This was important for multiple reasons: We already have good chemistry working together He lives nearby, so transport wouldn't be an issue He has a very expressive personality and acting style

The video follows the protagonist singing through the day as he talks about his wishes to live a better life. He sings about his desire to escape his current reality where he's living an unsatisfying life filled with his bad addictions, relationships and choices, where he tries to find paradise by leaving everything behind.  Thus, escapism, which is "the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities, especially by seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy" as my main themes for the video.

Due to many factors that popped up during the planning process for my original idea, I had to change course. My schedule wasn't aligning with my actors, due to exams and winter break, along with other events taking place in January, making the next month or so largely unavailable for shooting. Also the fact that my school would be closed for the beginning of February, which would be one of my major locations gone. I knew I would have to change my plan before it was too late. I wanted to keep the locations of my new video near my neighbourhood, as it would ensure availability and I would know the locations well, but that meant that neither of my original actors would be able to make transport all the way, so I had to find a new actor as well.
